Chapter 12 will sponsor two competitions in 2008:

The 3rd Annual Ben Lowell Aerial Confrontation,
a five-category power contest, will be held in Sterling CO
(KSTK),
May 15-17. Practice on Thurs. May 15, practice and registration on Friday morning.
NOTE: Contest flying starts at noon on Friday May 16th!

The Aspen Leaf Acro Challenge, a five-category power contest,
will be held in Sterling CO (KSTK),
August 16-17 (practice on Friday August 15).

The Logan County Chamber of Commerce provides an on-line
list of hotels in Sterling.
Chapter 12 does not recommend the lower-priced downtown hotels because freight trains go by all night long.
Most IAC12 members favor the Best Western or the Ramada. For less expensive options, the Comfort Inn,
Super 8, First Interstate Inn, and Travelodge are all away from the tracks.
