LuEllen Blum has passed

LuEllen (Shewmaker) Blum passed away on August 27 from a sudden recurrence of cancer.

She and her husband John shared a deep love of flying. John proposed to LuEllen by having a Stearman tow a banner that read “LuEllen Marry Me John” over a fly-in at St. Francis KS, as described in Stephen Coonts' book "Cannibal Queen". LuEllen became involved with IAC12 in the early 1990s, competing in the Sportsman category at many aerobatic competitions, participating as a judge, and working on numerous club events over the years.

LuEllen was a real estate broker for Re/Max Northwest and, due to her enjoyment of flying and travel, she became a Flight Attendant for Frontier Airlines.
