Welcome

We are the Denver-area chapter of the International Aerobatic Club, a division of the Experimental Aircraft Association. Our members come from all along the Front Range from Ft. Collins to Colorado Springs, as well as from neighboring states. RMAC's goal is safety above all else. We share a love of aerobatic flying, whether for personal enjoyment, the precise demands of competition, or working on the sidelines as judges and support personnel at contests. Our activities fall into three main categories:

  • Competition
  • Recreational flying, including critique and practice days
  • Group meetings and social events

December 17th, Chapter 12 Monthly Meeting

Reminder:   Chapter 12 monthly meeting is scheduled for Thursday,  Dec 17th at 6 pm.   The location is presently TBD as we are looking for an alternative to the Spirit of Flight Museum for this meeting.  Gordon has business that will likely take him out of town so we are working on alternatives.  Stay tuned for an update by Wednesday on the location of this month's meeting.

Reminder, tomorrow, Nov 12th, we will have the monthly chapter meeting at the Spirit of Flight Museum in Erie, starting at 6 pm.   Major business topic tomorrow will be the application for dedicated wiavered Aerobatic Practice Areas (APAs).  At the last meeting we assigned leads for multiple APA applications and we will be reviewing progress and status tomorrow.   At approximately 7pm, we'll enjoy the Bob Hoover movie "Flying the Feathered Edge".  Come out for an essential business topic and fun time sharing an excellent movie!

Flying the Feather Edge: the Bob Hoover Project - Nov 11 and Nov 12

Okay, thanks to Gordon Page, you now have a couple of choices for seeing this highly acclaimed movie about Bob Hoover's life.

November 11, the movie "Flying the Feathered Edge: The Bob Hoover Project" is being shown at the Landmark Chez Artiste in Denver. If you are interested in seeing the movie, please get your tickets ordered before November 1st. We will not be organizing a group IAC 12 gathering for this after all. November 12, IAC 12's monthly chapter meeting will be held starting at 6 PM at the Spirit of Flight Museum. We will conduct business regarding the aerobatic practice waiver applications 1st, then we'll adjourn the meeting and watch the movie there at the museum. Note that there will be fine beer selections and other snacks for the movie. No charge to see the movie at the museum.
