Welcome

We are the Denver-area chapter of the International Aerobatic Club, a division of the Experimental Aircraft Association. Our members come from all along the Front Range from Ft. Collins to Colorado Springs, as well as from neighboring states. RMAC's goal is safety above all else. We share a love of aerobatic flying, whether for personal enjoyment, the precise demands of competition, or working on the sidelines as judges and support personnel at contests. Our activities fall into three main categories:

  • Competition
  • Recreational flying, including critique and practice days
  • Group meetings and social events

Fall Cookout

IAC12 members, families, and friends are cordially invited to join us for a cookout on Sat., Oct. 24th, 1pm at DJ Molny's hangar in Longmont -- see aerial photo below.

This coincides with the airport's 70th anniversary celebrations. While there will be many cool aircraft on display, the field will remain open to arrivals and departures.

RSVPs are appreciated -- iac12 [at] iac12.org (subject: 2015%20Fall%20Cookout%20RSVP) (check here) to let us know you're coming!

Will have a business meeting to discuss current and new waiver applications - this will be the bulk of the meeting. Renewing KFMM and KSTK, and going for more local practice waiver sites - update / actions

Chapter Meeting Oct 15 - Spirit of Flight Museum at 6PM sharp!

Meeting will be held at the Spirit of Flight Museum at the Erie Tri County airport starting at 6:00PM sharp.

Your assignment is to pretend you are the grand poobah of aerobatic practice area waivers at the FAA.  Where would you put a waivered aerobatic box if you had the authority?  Please bring your suggestions and a sectional with location noted.

1) Renew the waivers at Ft Morgan and Sterling - Doug Jardine did this last time and he's agreed to submit the renewal papers.  They are due to expire next Feb I believe.
