The IAC Board of Directors held their semi-annual meeting November 10 & 11, 2017 in Oshkosh.  We were advised that IAC Chapter 12 was awarded the 2018 IAC West Open Championship!  Our Chapter 12 team submitted a bid to the IAC on November 1. The IAC Board unanimously approved our proposal so that mans all IAC pliots west of the Mississippi will be invited to come to the contest and compete for the contest trophies and the IAC West Open Championship.  We will hold the event on June 1-3, 2018 at Fort Morgan, Colorado (FMM).

We moved the annual Fort Morgan event 'forward' to June 1-3 for density altitude concerns for non-Colorado pilots.  We will call the contest the 2018 Ben Lowell Aerial Confrontation - IAC West Open Championiship. 

We will hold the annual IAC Chapter 12 HighPlanes HotPoxia Fest on July 13-15, 2018 at Sterling,Colorado.

IAC Chapter 5 will hold the The Clyde Cable Rocky Mountain Aerobatic Contest October 5-7, 2018 at Lamar, Colorado.
