2014 PILOT APPRECIATION GATHERING FOR CUSTOMERS OF HIGH PERFORMANCE PARACHUTE RIGGING AND ALL OTHER AVIATION ENTHUSIASTS

This is a FAA Aviation Safety Seminar. Maybe get a discount on your insurance and save an hour on your checkride. FAA FSDO DEN will be there to register your attendance for this FAA Wings, FAAST Program.

Date: Jan 4th Saturday, 2014, 1300 to 1600. (1 pm 4 pm) for you civvies) Families are welcome

Place: High Performance Parachute Rigging Loft, 921 8th Street, Golden, CO 80401 (Use Mapquest)

Attire: “Pilot “clothing. Anyone showing up with any other clothing will be hazed by everyone else! Aircraft ball caps, flight team jackets, flight suits, patches, T shirts, well - you get it.

Invitees to date: Pilots of airplanes/airplane enthusiasts. Colorado Soaring Association (CSA), Soaring Society of Boulder(SSB), Black Forest Soaring Society(BFSS),Mile High Gliding, Colorado Aerobatic Pilot Association, Colorado Yak Pilots (Red Stars), Airshow performers, Warbird pilots, Sport Aviation Pilots. FSDO Denver, and FAA Aviation Safety Counselors.

PROGRAM WILL INCLUDE:

"THE DECISION TO BAIL OUT", Feature Presentation by:

  • Gary Rower, Former Captain and Instructor of the Air Force Academy Soaring Team, F-16 fighting Falcon pilot, Stearman airshow performer and current airline pilot. Action-packed presentation by Gary Rower. He will give you insight into the DECISION MAKING PROCESS for all of us who wear parachutes. You won’t want to miss this one!
  • ACTUAL BAIL OUT account by Drew Chitea . He will tell you of his BAIL OUT from a Citabria, a civilian high-wing sport plane.
  • Parachute use demonstration
  • Showing of the DVD video of the 2011 Airshow at Rocky Mtn Metro. Edited and set to music. The YAK guys are featured, as well as the other airshow pilots.

All 4 parachute manufacturers are being invited again to share their products and current information.
