Jay Davis Accident & Fundraiser

Feb 21 update: Jay's story was featured on the local news last night. http://kdvr.com/2018/02/20/pilot-recovering-but-unable-to-move-legs-afte...

Dear Friends -- On Friday Feb. 16, IAC12 member Jay Davis was severely injured when his Thorp T-18 departed the runway on landing and flipped over. He suffered multiple spinal fractures and underwent 10 hours of surgery at Longmont United Hospital to fuse his spine from C5 to T2. His spinal cord was badly damaged and he is now a quadriplegic. Fortunately his cognition is fine and he regained some strength in his arms and hands over the weekend. Jay is still in the ICU while his condition stabilizes, then he'll be headed to Craig Hospital in Englewood for at least three months of rehab.

This is obviously a devastating injury, especially to someone as young and athletic as Jay. His friends have set up a GoFundMe page to help with some of the financial pressure. Please consider contributing, and spread the word. https://www.gofundme.com/561flag
