Practice Waivers

Thanks to the persistence of IAC12 President Bob Freeman, we now have 2-year practice waivers at both Fort Morgan (KFMM) and Sterling (KSTK). Yay Bob!

In order to use theses boxes, you must:

  1. Stop by the FBO to read the waiver and sign the log sheet,
  2. Call the FSS Notam line (1-877-487-6867) and provide location, dates, times for the aerobatic activity (no runway closures required)
  3. Notify the DenverARTCC  (303-651-4100) 30 minutes prior to use, and call again when you are done,
  4. Monitor the local CTAF (no requirement to have a ground spotter, but we recommend it),
  5. Have at least a 5000' ceiling (sheesh) and 3 miles visibility, and
  6. Restrict flying to 1h after sunrise and 1h before sunset.

A tremendous amount of effort went into securing these waivers. Please respect this privilege by flying responsibly and following both the spirit and the letter of the law!
