Welcome

We are the Denver-area chapter of the International Aerobatic Club, a division of the Experimental Aircraft Association. Our members come from all along the Front Range from Ft. Collins to Colorado Springs, as well as from neighboring states. RMAC's goal is safety above all else. We share a love of aerobatic flying, whether for personal enjoyment, the precise demands of competition, or working on the sidelines as judges and support personnel at contests. Our activities fall into three main categories:

  • Competition
  • Recreational flying, including critique and practice days
  • Group meetings and social events

Post-Holiday Party

You and yours are cordially invited to attend our annual Chapter 12 "Winter Fest" party.  The event is being hosted once again by the Larkin's at their beautiful (did you know it's for sale? - perfect for your aviation dreams!) airstrip home at EIK.   It's time to get old friends and new friends together to lie about our aerobatic prowess and big plans for the future!  Please pass this information to those you know are interested that may not be in the current email list.

Memorial and Obituary for Jim McKinstry

A special memorial service for Jim will be held this Saturday, November 22nd from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Jim’s hangar at LMO. Please feel free to stop by, this service is open to all airport tenants and friends of Jim. Dress is informal.

Jim H. McKinstry died peacefully in his home in Longmont, CO on November 13, 2014 at the age of 73.

I'm saddened to report that Jim McKinstry, a founder of IAC Chapter 12, has passed away following a year-long battle with brain cancer. Our thoughts and sympathies are with his wife Linda and their family.

There are no plans for services yet; we will keep you posted.
